A nifty place for bargain buys
A reuse shop is located within the Kings Road Reuse and Recycling Centre. The shop sells a range of items and stock will change constantly. Items for sale could include furniture, toys, sports equipment, clothes, small electrical items (vacuum cleaners, lamps, kettles etc) and other household items.
The items for sale have been donated to Second Time Around for reuse by residents or collected from the other Reuse and Recycling Centres managed by North London Waste Authority in the area and would have otherwise been thrown away. The Reuse and Recycling Centres and Second Time Around are operated by LondonWaste LTD. For further details about the other reuse and recycling centres in north London is available by clicking here.

Donate items to the shop
If you have any items that you plan on taking to your local Reuse and Recycling Centre, consider if they could be used by another individual or whether someone else might be interested in upcycling them into new products. If so and you are visiting the Kings Road Reuse and Recycling Centre, please place your item in the designated reuse storage area. If you are in any doubt where this is, then please speak to a member of staff. If visiting one of the other reuse and recycling centres, then please hand your item (s) to a member of staff.
What will happen to donated items?
All reuse items are inspected and safety checked before entering the reuse shop for sale. Records of each item inspected are logged. Items which fail the quality inspection will be sent for recycling where possible or disposal.
What will happen to the money made from selling the items?
All items in the shop will be priced affordably offering residents the opportunity to get an item they need or want for a fraction of the cost they would do if purchased new.
Income generated from the shop will be used to cover the cost of providing the reuse shop service. Any surplus amounts will be used to enhance the North London Waste Authority’s wider waste prevention work.
