The second round of the Waste Prevention Community Fund for 2018-19 is now open and the cut-off date for applications is 12noon on 12 October 2018.
North London Waste Authority has established a Waste Prevention Community Fund (Fund) to support waste prevention initiatives in the north London area. The aim of the Fund is to provide community based (non-profit making) organisations with access to funding in order to develop new approaches to tackling waste prevention, and also to extend the reach and impact of waste prevention activity in north London.
The North London Waste Prevention Community Fund is available to not-for-profit organisations that wish to develop new approaches to tackling waste prevention. With up to 100% funding of the project cost, support can be provided for projects up to £15,000 tackling a waste prevention problem. Preference will be given to projects that focus on electrical repair and reuse, although projects targeting other waste streams such as food waste, furniture and textiles are also eligible for funding. Projects must be completed by 1 March 2019.
Organisations that previously submitted funding requests and/or have received support from the North London Waste Authority’s Waste Prevention Community Fund in the first round of funding, may also apply for funding in the second round.
