Free compost for community groups

The Compost Centre at the Edmonton EcoPark produces high quality compost from  garden waste and kitchen waste, such as garden cuttings and kitchen scraps.

As a result we save over 35,000 tonnes of organic waste from being disposed each year.

The compost is suitable for farming use, but it is also available free-of-charge to local allotment groups and community projects in the London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest.

The compost is available in bulk of approximately 15 tonne loads. Smaller quantities of bagged compost for individual households are available from some of the north London reuse and recycling centres.

If you want to request a delivery of compost for an allotment or community project please complete a Compost Delivery Request form which is available here and email it to post@nlwa.gov.uk
