Large Electrical Appliances

Unwanted large household appliances?

These could be reused

North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is working with local charity ReStore Community Projects to run a trial at five reuse and recycling centres (RRCs) in north London to refurbish your unwanted large electrical appliances.

These items are safety tested, repaired and made available to your local community through ReStore Community Projects, giving them a second life.

What items do we accept for reuse?

We accept

• fridges

• freezers

• electric cookers

• washing machines and dryers

• dishwashers and microwaves

Where can we take our unwanted items?

We accept large domestic appliances for refurbishment and reuse at:

• Regis Road RRC (Camden), Regis Road, Kentish Town NW5 3EW
• Hornsey Street RRC (Islington), 40 Hornsey Street, Islington N7 8HU
Western Road RRC (Haringey), Western Road, Wood Green, Haringey, N22 6UG
• Kings Road RRC (Waltham Forest) 48 Kings Road, Chingford E4 7HR
• South Access Road RRC (Waltham Forest), South Access Road, Walthamstow E17 8AX

If we can’t reuse what you bring, we’ll still recycle it.

Why reuse?

Reuse helps the environment by reducing the demand for new products to be made from raw materials. Restore Community Projects also provides training and employment opportunities for local people to test and repair the goods you’ve donated.
